HB 247 Original 2015 Regular Session	Huval
Abstract: Exempts the Louisiana Physical Therapy Board from the limitations on
disciplinary proceedings by professional or occupational boards and commissions.

or rule violation. Present law limits the manner in which a disciplinary proceeding may be
conducted, when the complaint is filed with the professional or occupational board or
commission, by requiring written notice be issued by the board or commission to the
licensee within six months of the filing of the complaint and by requiring the proceeding to
be held within six months of that notice unless that period of time is otherwise interrupted
by procedural motions. Present law enumerates specific entities not restricted by the
provisions of present law. Proposed law adds the Louisiana Physical Therapy Board to the
enumerated list of specific entities not restricted by the provisions of present law.
