RÉSUMÉ DIGEST ACT 195 (HB 247) 2015 Regular Session Huval Existing law limits the timing in which a disciplinary proceeding of any kind may be initiated by a professional or occupational board or commission when the nature of the complaint is based in negligence or gross negligence, an intentional act or omission, fraud, or a license or rule violation. Existing law limits the manner in which a disciplinary proceeding may be conducted, when the complaint is filed with the professional or occupational board or commission, by requiring written notice be issued by the board or commission to the licensee within six months of the filing of the complaint and by requiring the proceeding to be held within six months of that notice unless that period of time is otherwise interrupted by procedural motions. Existing law enumerates specific entities not restricted by the provisions of existing law. New law adds the La. Physical Therapy Board to the enumerated list of specific entities not restricted by the provisions of existing law. Effective August 1, 2015. (Adds R.S. 37:21(B)(10))
