Abstract: Removes the minimum fee and increases the maximum fee that the Structural Pest
Control Commission (commission) may establish for each reported standard contract and
each reported wood destroying insect report. Removes the authority to appoint a committee
to make recommendations for the type of research needed.
Present law allows the commission to establish a fee for each reported standard contract and each
reported wood destroying insect report at not less than $5 and not more than $8. Proposed law
removes the minimum fee of five dollars and increases the maximum fee to $16.
Present law allows the commission to appoint a committee to make recommendations on what
research committee members should be conducting. Proposed law removes the commission's
authority to appoint a committee for the purposes of making recommendations for research.
