Abstract: Removes the minimum fee and increases the maximum fee that the Structural Pest
Control Commission (commission) may establish for each reported standard contract and
each reported wood destroying insect report.
Present law allows the commission to establish a fee for each reported standard contract and each
reported wood destroying insect report at not less than $5 and not more than $8. Proposed law
removes the minimum fee of $5 and increases the maximum fee to $16.

Summary of Amendments Adopted by House
The Committee Amendments Proposed by House Committee on Agriculture, Forestry,
Aquaculture, and Rural Development to the original bill:
1. Revert back to present law by removing a provision that deleted the authority of the
Structural Pest Control Commission's ability to appoint a committee of persons to make
recommendations on what research is needed.
