1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact Code of Civil Procedure Article 4843(H), relative to courts of limited
3 jurisdiction; to provide for the jurisdictional amount in dispute in certain city courts;
4 to provide for the jurisdictional amount in dispute in the city courts of Franklin; and
5 to provide for related matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. Code of Civil Procedure Article 4843(H) is hereby amended and
8 reenacted to read as follows:
9 Art. 4843. City court jurisdiction; amount in dispute; injunctive actions by state or
10 political subdivision

12 H. In the City Court of Alexandria, the Third Ward City Court of Franklin,
13 the City Court of Pineville, the City Court of Slidell, and the City Court of Ruston,
14 the civil jurisdiction is concurrent with the district court in cases where the amount
15 in dispute, or the value of the property involved does not exceed fifty thousand
16 dollars.
