PUBLIC CONTRACTS:  Provides for the functions and responsibilities of the Coastal
Protection and Restoration Authority relative to certain projects
1	AN ACT
2To amend and reenact R.S. 49:214.5.2(F), relative to functions and responsibilities of the
3 Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority Board; to provide for the availability
4 of certain resources to satisfy mitigation requirements related to integrated coastal
5 protection projects of the board; and to provide for related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1.  R.S. 49:214.5.2(F) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows
8 ยง214.5.2.  Functions and responsibilities; Coastal Protection and Restoration
9	Authority Board

11	F.  Upon the approval by the board, and notwithstanding any law to the
12 contrary, the authority, the state, or any political subdivision thereof, may use its own
13 employees or equipment resources for satisfying any mitigation requirements
14 resulting from or related to an integrated coastal protection project.

Abstract:  Provides for the functions and responsibilities related to the mitigation of
integrated coastal protection projects as approved by the Coastal Protection and
Restoration Authority Board.
Present law provides upon the approval by the board, and notwithstanding any law to the
contrary, the authority, the state, or any political subdivision thereof, may use its own
employees or equipment for satisfying any mitigation requirements resulting from or related
to an integrated coastal protection project.  Proposed law changes employees or equipment
to resources.
