1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 17:170(A)(2), relative to immunizations of persons entering
3 educational institutions for the first time; to add vaccinations for meningococcal
4 disease to list of required vaccinations; and to provide for related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 17:170(A)(2) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
7 ยง170. Immunization of persons entering schools, kindergartens, colleges,
8 proprietary or vocational schools, and day care centers for the first time;
9 immunization of persons entering sixth grade; electronic transmission of
10 immunization compliance reports

13 (2) The schedule shall include but not be limited to measles, mumps, rubella,
14 diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, poliomyelitis, meningococcal disease, and
15 hemophilus influenzae Type B invasive infections.

17 Section 2. This Act shall be known as the Robert Michael Acosta Act.
