RÉSUMÉ DIGEST ACT 394 (HB 342) 2015 Regular Session Gisclair Existing law provides with respect to immunization of persons entering schools, kindergartens, colleges, proprietary or vocational schools, and day care centers for the first time. Requires each person entering such an institution to present satisfactory evidence of immunity to or immunization against vaccine-preventable diseases according to a schedule approved by the office of public health, Dept. of Health and Hospitals, or to present evidence of an immunization program in progress. Existing law provides that the schedule shall include measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, poliomyelitis, and hemophilus influenzae Type B invasive infections. New law adds meningococcal disease to list of diseases included in schedule. Effective August 1, 2015. (Amends R.S. 17:170(A)(2))
