DENTISTRY:  Delays the effective date of certain provisions of Act No. 866 of the 2014
Regular Session
1	AN ACT
2To amend and reenact Section 2 of Act No. 866 of the 2014 Regular Session of the
3 Legislature, relative to the domicile of the Louisiana State Board of Dentistry; to
4 delay the effective date of the change of domicile;  to delay the effective date of the
5 change in venue for judicial review of adjudication; and to provide for related
6 matters.
7Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1.  Section 2 of Act No. 866 of the 2014 Regular Session of the Legislature
9is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 
10	Section 2.  The provisions of R.S. 37:753(I) and 786(A)(1) and (C) as
11 amended by Section 1 of this Act shall become effective January 1, 2017 August 31,
12 2019.

Abstract:  Delays the effective date of provisions of Act No. 866 of the 2014 Regular
Session which change the domicile of the La. State Board of Dentistry.
Present law (Act No. 866 of 2014 R.S.) changes the domicile of the La. State Board of
Dentistry (board) from the city of New Orleans to the parish of East Baton Rouge, effective
Jan. 1, 2017.

Proposed law retains present law but delays the effective date to Aug. 31, 2019.
Present law (Act No. 866 of 2014 R.S.) changes the venue for judicial review of a decision
of the board from the civil district court for the parish of Orleans to the 19
th
 Judicial District
in East Baton Rouge Parish, effective Jan. 1, 2017.
Proposed law retains present law but delays the effective date to Aug. 31, 2019.
