ACT 74 (HB 379) 2015 Regular Session Hollis
Existing law regulates drug testing for the presence of marijuana, opioids, cocaine,
amphetamines, and phencyclidine. Prior law authorized the testing of urine samples by
laboratories certified by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration or
the College of American Pathologists.
New law adds an authorization for the testing of hair samples by laboratories certified by the
College of American Pathologists.
Effective August 1, 2015.
