HOUSE BILL NO. 409

APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT:  Appropriates funds for payment of judgment in the
matter of "Emile Collins v. City of Thibodaux, Lafourche Parish Government, and
State of Louisiana"
1	AN ACT
2To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2015-
3 2016 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Emile Collins v.
4 City of Thibodaux, Lafourche Parish Government, and State of Louisiana"; and to
5 provide for related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1.  The sum of Sixty-Five Thousand and No/100 ($65,000.00) Dollars is
8hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2015-
92016 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Emile Collins v. City of
10Thibodaux, Lafourche Parish Government, and State of Louisiana", bearing Number 119-
11807, Division "B" on the docket of the Seventeenth Judicial District Court, parish of
12Lafourche, state of Louisiana.
13 Section 2.  This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2015; if vetoed by the governor
14and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,
152015, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
