Abstract: Requires the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education to promulgate rules
pertaining to student lunch time.
Present law provides with respect to the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education
(BESE). Provides relative to the powers, duties, and responsibilities of the board.
Proposed law requires the board to promulgate a rule in accordance with present law (the
Administrative Procedure Act) to require the governing authority of each public school to provide
no less than 20 minutes of seated lunch time.
Effective upon signature of governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
