BY REPRESENTATIVES HENRY BURNS, BARROW, WESLEY BISHOP, BROWN,
BURFORD, BURRELL, CARMODY, CARTER, CHANEY, COX, CROMER,
EDWARDS, GAROFALO, GISCLAIR, HALL, HENRY, HILL, HOFFMANN,

1	AN ACT
2 To designate certain portions of Louisiana highways to honor the public service of Louisiana
3 citizens; to designate a portion of Louisiana Highway 72 as "Private First Class
4 Joshua C. Burrows Drive"; to designate a portion of U.S. Highway 80 as "Sergeant
5 Craig Nelson Memorial Highway" and to designate each approach to the Richard S.
6 Thompson Bridge as the "Nancy McLellan Claitor Approach".
7 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1.  The portion of Louisiana Highway 72, commonly referred to as Traffic
9 Street, in Bossier Parish beginning at the intersection of U.S. Highway 80, locally known as
10 East Texas Street, southbound to the intersection of Traffic Street and Interstate 20, shall be
11 known and designated as "Private First Class Joshua C. Burrows Drive".
12 Section 2.  The portion of U.S. Highway 80 in Bossier Parish located between the
13 two entrances of Bossier Parish Community College shall be known and designated as
14 "Sergeant Craig Nelson Memorial Highway".
15 Section 3.  Each approach to the Richard S. Thompson Bridge in Boyce, Louisiana,
16 which crosses the Red River in Grant and Rapides parishes along Louisiana Highway 8 shall
17 be hereinafter known and designated as the "Nancy McLellan Claitor Approach".

1 Section 4.  The Department of Transportation and Development or its contractors are
2 hereby directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting these designations.
