(8/1/15) DIGEST Proposed law provides that to ensure compliance with Federal Communications Commission Rule 12-11, state agencies may execute a memorandum of understanding with a telephone service provider granting the provider access to the agency's databases, unless prohibited by federal law or regulation. Remove a nonexclusive list from the defined term "law enforcement agency". 3. Remove authorization permitting the Dept. of Public Safety and Corrections ("DPS&C") to promulgate specified rules or regulation relative to penalties for violations. 4. Remove reference to an establishment of a schedule of fines for violations. 5. Authorize the DPS&C to promulgate rules and regulations in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act necessary to implement the provisions of proposed law.
