APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for the payment of judgments in the
matter of "Steve Brengettsy, et al v. the State of Louisiana, through the DOTD, et al"
1 AN ACT
2To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2015-
3 2016 to be used to pay the consent judgments in the suit entitled "Steve Brengettsy,
4 et al v. the State of Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and
5 Development, et al; and to provide for related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. The sum of One Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand and No/100
8($185,000.00) Dollars in favor of plaintiff, Steve Brengettsy, is hereby appropriated out of
9the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2015-2016 to be used to pay the
10consent judgment in the suit entitled "Steve Brengettsy, et al v. the State of Louisiana,
11through the Department of Transportation and Development, et al", bearing Number 20,984,
12Division "B", on the docket of the Twentieth Judicial District Court, parish of West
13Feliciana, state of Louisiana.
14 Section 2. The sum of Twenty Thousand and No/100 ($20,000.00) Dollars in favor
15of plaintiff, Elro McQuarter, is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of
16Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2015-2016 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit
17entitled "Steve Brengettsy, et al v. the State of Louisiana, through the Department of
18Transportation and Development, et al", bearing Number 20,984, Division "B", on the
19docket of the Twentieth Judicial District Court, parish of West Feliciana, state of Louisiana.

1 Section 3. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2015; if vetoed by the governor
2and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,
32015, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
