Abstract: Provides relative to recognition and compensation of firefighters at St. Tammany Fire
Protection District No. 4.
Present law provides with respect to compensation for fire department personnel. Present law
requires that equal recognition and compensation be received for equal performance of duty and
responsibility by firefighters.
Proposed law, applicable to St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 4, authorizes rather than
requires such recognition and compensation.
