Subpart S of Part II-A of Chapter 1 of Subtitle I of Title 39 of the 8Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, comprised of R.S. 39:100.146 is hereby enacted to read 9as follows: 10 SUBPART S. STATE EMPLOYER HEALTH INSURANCE FUND 11 ยง100.146. State Employer Health Insurance Fund 12 A. There is hereby established in the state treasury as a special fund, the 13 State Employer Health Insurance Fund, hereinafter referred to as the "fund". 14 B. The source of monies deposited into the fund shall be any monies 15 appropriated annually by the legislature including donations, gifts, grants, or any 16 other monies which may be provided by law. All unexpended and unencumbered 17 monies in the fund at the end of the fiscal year shall remain in the fund. The monies 18 in the fund shall be invested by the state treasurer in the same manner as monies in 19 the state general fund, and interest earned on the investment of monies shall be 20 credited to the fund. The monies in the fund shall be appropriated to state agencies to pay the 2 employer portion of the cost to provide post-employment benefits to or for 3 employees retired from agencies, departments, boards, and commissions of the state 4 to participate in group health insurance programs established pursuant to the 5 provisions of Chapter 12 of Title 42 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950.
