Abstract: Relative to the Greenwell Springs-Airline Economic Development District in East Baton
Rouge Parish, changes the name and the boundaries of the district.
Present law creates and provides for the Greenwell Springs-Airline Economic Development District
as a political subdivision in East Baton Rouge Parish for the purpose of developing the area included
within the district in order to provide for substantial economic activity and employment
opportunities. Provides that the district is governed by a nine-member board of commissioners.
Provides for district boundaries.
Proposed law changes the name of the district to the Baton Rouge North Economic Development
District. Additionally makes changes to the district's boundaries. Proposed law otherwise retains
present law.
