HOUSE BILL NO. 98

1	AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 13:783(F)(7), relative to the payment of group insurance
3 premium costs for certain clerk of court employees; to require the clerk of court for
4 Cameron Parish to pay certain group insurance premium costs; to provide for
5 eligibility for payment of such costs; and to provide for related matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1.  R.S. 13:783(F)(7) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 
8 ยง783.  Expenses of clerk's office

12	(7)  In the parishes of  Bossier, Caddo, Caldwell, Cameron, Franklin, Grant,
13 LaSalle, Webster, and Winn, the clerk of court shall pay, from the clerk's salary fund,
14 one hundred percent of the premium costs of the group life and accidental death and
15 dismemberment, group health, accident, dental, hospital, surgical, or other medical
16 expense insurance for any employee that retires from the Bossier Parish clerk of
17 court's office, the Caddo Parish clerk of court's office, the Caldwell Parish clerk of
18 court's office, the Cameron Parish clerk of court's office, the Franklin Parish clerk
19 of court's office, the Grant Parish clerk of court's office, the LaSalle Parish clerk of
20 court's office, the Webster Parish clerk of court's office, or the Winn Parish clerk of
21 court's office who is entitled to receive monthly benefits from the Louisiana Clerks'
22 of Court Retirement and Relief Fund, who has at least twenty years of full-time
23 service with the clerk of court's office in Bossier Parish, Caddo Parish, Caldwell

1 Parish, Cameron Parish, Franklin Parish, Grant Parish, LaSalle Parish, Webster
2 Parish, or Winn Parish, and who is at least fifty-five years of age.  The provisions of
3 this Paragraph shall not apply to any other insurance, such as supplemental
4 insurance, that an employee may elect to purchase.
