Williams and 4businessman Dieter Hugel led a team of investors to create a bank that adheres to past 5principles of customer service; and 6 WHEREAS, on Monday, June 11, 1990, Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Company opened 7its doors by taking over the former American Savings as well as Security Homestead 8Deposits, Southern Savings & Loan, and Columbia Homestead; and 9 WHEREAS, Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Company provides individuals and businesses 10with the strength and resources that are needed to succeed in today's world; and 11 WHEREAS, Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Company is one of the largest mortgage 12lenders in the state of Louisiana and continuously strives to help customers achieve the 13dream of home ownership; and 14 WHEREAS, there are over three hundred eighty-five Gulf Coast Bank & Trust 15Company employees who work to help customers achieve financial goals; and 16 WHEREAS, for many years, Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Company has been named by 17the United States Small Business Administration (SBA) as one of the top SBA Lenders in 18Louisiana for assisting business in turning their ideas into realities. 19 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby 20commend Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Company upon its twenty-fifth anniversary and does Page 1 of 2 HLS 15RS-2517 ORIGINAL HCR NO. 122 1hereby extend to Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Company full measures of success in the years 2to come. 3 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted 4to Kim Carver, human resource director and vice president of government relations for Gulf 5Coast Bank & Trust Company.
