HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOL UTION NO. 151
BY REPRESENTATIVES ST. GERMAIN, BARROW, HILL, HODGES, JACKSON,
NANCY LANDRY, MORENO, NORTON, SMITH, STOKES, THIERRY,
WHITNEY, AND WOODRUFF AND SENATORS BROOME, BUFFINGTON,
DORSEY-COLOMB, AND PETERSON
A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION
To commend B. Ronnell Nolan, a Baton Rouge businesswoman, upon her receipt of a 2015 
Women of Excellence Award from the Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus 
Foundation for her achievements in the field of business.
WHEREAS, B. Ronnell Nolan is the founder of Health Agents for America,
Incorporated (HAFA) and The Nolan Group; currently, she serves on the Louisiana
Department of Insurance Agent Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Nolan received her Certified Health Care Reform Specialist
designation in 2013; and serves on the Louisiana Health Care Commission; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Nolan obtained her health insurance associate certificate and serves
as a consultant for the Medical Tourism Association International Healthcare Consumers
Coalition; she is also a licensed life and health insurance agent and a licensed lobbyist; and
WHEREAS, among her many awards and accomplishments, Ms. Nolan was awarded
the Influential Women in Employee Benefits by Employee Benefit Adviser; in May of 2014,
she was the cover and feature story of the Employee Benefit Adviser, and she has often been
quoted by the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, LifeHealthPro, BenefitsPro, Employee
Benefit Adviser, the Advocate, and many other local media outlets in Louisiana; and
WHEREAS, among her other accomplishments, Ms. Nolan serves as president and
CEO for Health Agents for America, Incorporated, an association that represents agents and
brokers exclusively; currently, HAFA represents agents in twenty-six states; Ms. Nolan is
the field organizer for Medicare Today and has participated in a grassroots effort to
introduce, enroll, and educate seniors about Medicare Part D; and

WHEREAS, another notable achievement is that Ms. Nolan worked with Education
Station to provide assistance to after-school programs for low-income children to help with
their math and English skills; and 
WHEREAS, Ms. Nolan worked on several important pieces of legislation with
former Senator Mary Landrieu including the 2179 Enhancing Access for Agents and Brokers
Act and the S1729 Expanded Consumer Choice Act; currently, she is working with Senator
Bill Cassidy to equalize the playing field for agents and brokers; and
WHEREAS, the Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus Foundation created the
Women of Excellence Awards to recognize and honor extraordinary women of excellence
across the state for their outstanding achievements and contributions; and
WHEREAS, recipients of the Women of Excellence Awards exhibit characteristics
of integrity and professionalism, personify excellence in their area of speciality, and are
committed to community service to better society as a whole; and
WHEREAS, for 2015, there are six categories for the Women of Excellence Awards:
Business, College Woman of Excellence, Health and Medicine, High School Woman of
Excellence, Louisiana Hero of Excellence, and Non-profit of Excellence; and
WHEREAS, the recipients of the 2015 Women of Excellence Awards are being
recognized at the Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus Foundation's Women of
Excellence Awards Gala on Tuesday, May 26, 2015; and
WHEREAS, B. Ronnell Nolan has been named a recipient of a 2015 Women of
Excellence Award in the field of Business for her industry and accomplishments which
demonstrate her business acumen; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Nolan merits a sincere and heartfelt measure of commendation for
her dedication to excellence and her outstanding accomplishments, and it is appropriate for
the Legislature of Louisiana to commend B. Ronnell Nolan upon her receipt of a 2015
Women of Excellence Award from the Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus Foundation
and to recognize her vital contributions to the citizens of Louisiana.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
commend B. Ronnell Nolan, a Baton Rouge businesswoman, upon her receipt of a 2015
Women of Excellence Award from the Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus Foundation
for her achievements in the field of business; does hereby recognize and record for posterity

her singular contributions to the citizens of Louisiana as an active and dedicated
businesswoman; and does hereby extend enduring appreciation for the tremendous pride and
honor that she brings to her community and the state of Louisiana.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to B. Ronnell Nolan.
