A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION
To commend James B. Smith upon being the youngest person to receive a degree from
Louisiana State University.
WHEREAS, James B. Smith is the son of Brian and Corinna Smith; and
WHEREAS, on May 15, 2015, James B. Smith graduated summa cum laude and
received a bachelor of science degree in computer science the from Louisiana State
University College of Engineering; and
WHEREAS, prior to his enrollment in college at the age of thirteen, James B. Smith
had been homeschooled; and
WHEREAS, he enjoys playing the piano for the children's ministry at his church; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to commend and congratulate James B. Smith upon his
graduation from Louisiana State University at the age of sixteen.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
commend James B. Smith upon being the youngest person to receive a degree from
Louisiana State University and does hereby extend to him best wishes for continued success
in his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to James B. Smith.
