HLS 15RS-1808 ORIGINAL 2015 Regular Session HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOL UTION NO. 99 BY REPRESENTATIVE JEFFERSON AND SENATOR W ALSWORTH COMMENDATIONS: Commends the Haynesville High School football team upon winning the Class 1A state championship 1 A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION 2To commend the Haynesville High School football team upon winning the Class 1A state 3 football championship. 4 WHEREAS, the Haynesville High School Golden Tornado won its seventeenth state 5championship with a 16-0 win over Mangham in the title game and it is appropriate to 6commend the players and coaches on this outstanding achievement; and 7 WHEREAS, Haynesville's victory over Mangham is the second such victory for the 8Golden Tornado over the Dragons in the state championship game; and 9 WHEREAS, the Golden Tornado finished the 2014 season with a 13-1 record; the 10amazing accomplishments of the team could not have been achieved without the guidance 11and skills of head coach David Franklin, as well as the assistant coaches and other 12individuals who have contributed to the success of the school's football program; and 13 WHEREAS, the team's outstanding 2014 season upholds the glorious tradition of the 14Golden Tornado, and all Haynesville High School alumni and fans recognize the immense 15pride and distinguished honor that the team brings to its school, community, and state. 16 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby 17commend the Haynesville High School football team upon winning the 2014 Class 1A state 18football championship; does hereby extend best wishes to the players, coaches, and everyone 19involved with this distinguished football program; and does hereby wish Haynesville High 20School continued success in the future.
