A RESOLUTION
To commend the Honorable Regina Ashford Barrow and to express enduring gratitude for
her outstanding contributions to East Baton Rouge and West Baton Rouge Parishes
and the state of Louisiana, particularly during her tenure as a distinguished member
of the Louisiana House of Representatives.
WHEREAS, Regina Ashford Barrow is a notable public servant who has served with
excellence as a state representative since taking office in 2005, during which time she has
fully used every opportunity to serve the citizens of her district and the state in an honorable
and dedicated manner; and
WHEREAS, a graduate of East Ascension High School, Representative Barrow
serves as the House vice chairwoman of the Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus; and
WHEREAS, Representative Barrow has been a proud member of the Acadiana
Delegation, the Capital Region Legislative Delegation, the Democratic Caucus, and the
Louisiana Legislative Black Caucus; and
WHEREAS, Representative Barrow's diligent committee service has included
serving as the chairwoman of the House Committee on Municipal, Parochial and Cultural
Affairs, vice chairwoman of the House Executive Committee, and vice chairwoman of the

Special Committee on Military and Veterans Affairs, and she has served as a member of the
House Committee on Health and Welfare, the House Committee on Ways and Means, the
House Committee on Commerce, the House Committee on Education, the Legislative
Bureau, and the Joint Legislative Committee on Capital Outlay; and
WHEREAS, during her time in the House of Representatives, Representative Barrow
has worked on and supported many important pieces of legislation; and
WHEREAS, as she prepares to embark on the next exciting and productive chapter
of her life, Representative Barrow merits a sincere measure of commendation for her
singular contributions and the exemplary strides she has taken as an exceptional member of
the Louisiana House of Representatives.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Honorable Regina Ashford Barrow; does
hereby extend honor and recognition to her for her outstanding accomplishments,
particularly during her tenure as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, which
has been marked by her uncompromising endeavor to improve the welfare of her
constituents in East Baton Rouge Parish and West Baton Rouge Parish and the citizens of
the state of Louisiana; and does hereby pay tribute to her for the generous and effective way
in which she has dedicated her intelligence and her energy to the service of her family,
friends, community, and state.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Louisiana House of Representatives hereby
expresses enduring gratitude to Representative Barrow for her service to the citizens of
Louisiana, as evidenced by her superlative achievements as a member of this distinguished
body, and hereby extends to her the best wishes of all her colleagues for continued prosperity
and success in her future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to the Honorable Regina Ashford Barrow.
