BY REPRESENTATIVES TIM BURNS, FOIL, LEBAS, MIGUEZ, AND OURSO
COMMENDATIONS: Commends Dane "Isaac" Holbrook upon his receipt of the National
Eagle Scout Association's Glenn A. and Melinda W. Adams National Eagle Scout
Service Project of the Year Award
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend Dane "Isaac" Holbrook upon his receipt of the National Eagle Scout
3 Association's Glenn A. and Melinda W. Adams National Eagle Scout Service Project
4 of the Year Award.
5 WHEREAS, it is appropriate to commend Dane "Isaac" Holbrook on the occasion
6of his receipt of the National Eagle Scout Association's Glenn A. and Melinda W. Adams
7National Eagle Scout Service Project of the Year Award; and
8 WHEREAS, the Glenn A. and Melinda W. Adams National Eagle Scout Service
9Project of the Year Award recognizes valuable service of an exceptional nature by a Scout
10to a religious institution, school, community, or other entity; and
11 WHEREAS, Dane "Isaac" Holbrook is a member of Boy Scout Troop 3245,
12sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Covington, Louisiana; and
13 WHEREAS, Isaac's service project created a "Healing Garden" for the Children's
14Advocacy Center - Hope House of Covington, which provides services to children who have
15suffered abuse; and
16 WHEREAS, Isaac led an Eagle Project to create a warm, nurturing outdoor space,
17consisting of a deck, pergola, and garden that is used to provide counseling and therapy to
18abused children and their families during the healing process; and
19 WHEREAS, Dane "Isaac" Holbrook merits a special measure of commendation for
20his outstanding service project and upon his receipt of the National Eagle Scout

1Association's Glenn A. and Melinda W. Adams National Eagle Scout Service Project of the
2Year Award.
3 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
4Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Dane "Isaac" Holbrook of Boy Scout Troop
53245 upon his receipt of the National Eagle Scout Association's Glenn A. and Melinda W.
6Adams National Eagle Scout Service Project of the Year Award and does hereby recognize
7his dedication to improving the health and welfare of the citizens of Louisiana.
8 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
9to Dane "Isaac" Holbrook.
