COMMENDATIONS: Commends and expresses appreciation to the Honorable Mickey J.
Guillory for his outstanding legislative service and recognizes his contributions to
his district and the state
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend the Honorable Mickey J. Guillory and to express enduring gratitude for his
3 outstanding contributions to the parishes of Acadia, Evangeline, and St. Landry and
4 the state of Louisiana, particularly during his tenure as a distinguished member of
5 the Louisiana House of Representatives.
6 WHEREAS, Mickey Guillory is a notable public servant who has served with
7excellence as a state representative since taking office in 2004, during which time he has
8fully used every opportunity to serve the citizens of his district and the state in an honorable
9and dedicated manner; and
10 WHEREAS, he is a graduate of the Louisiana State Police Academy; and
11 WHEREAS, Representative Guillory has been a proud member of the Acadiana
12Delegation, the Democratic Caucus, and the Louisiana Rural Caucus; and

1 WHEREAS, Representative Guillory's diligent committee service has included
2serving as a member on the House Committee on Administration of Criminal Justice, the
3House Committee on Labor and Industrial Relations, the House Committee on Ways and
4Means, the House Committee on Agriculture, Forestry, Aquaculture and Rural Development,
5the House Committee on Health and Welfare, the House Committee on Transportation,
6Highways and Public Works, the House Select Committee on Homeland Security, the Joint
7Legislative Committee on Capital Outlay, the Joint Committee on Homeland Security, and
8the Atchafalaya Basin Program Oversight Committee; and
9 WHEREAS, during his time in the House of Representatives, Representative
10Guillory has worked on and supported many important pieces of legislation; and
11 WHEREAS, as he prepares to embark on the next exciting and productive chapter
12of his life, Representative Guillory merits a sincere measure of commendation for his
13singular contributions and the exemplary strides he has taken as an exceptional member of
14the Louisiana House of Representatives.
15 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
16Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Honorable Mickey J. Guillory; does
17hereby extend honor and recognition to him for his outstanding accomplishments,
18particularly during his tenure as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, which
19has been marked by his uncompromising endeavor to improve the welfare of his constituents
20in the parishes of Acadia, Evangeline, and St. Landry and the citizens of the state of
21Louisiana; and does hereby pay tribute to him for the generous and effective way in which
22he has dedicated his intelligence and his energy to the service of his family, friends,
23community, and state.
24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Louisiana House of Representatives hereby
25expresses enduring gratitude to Representative Guillory for his service to the citizens of
26Louisiana, as evidenced by his superlative achievements as a member of this distinguished
27body, and hereby extends to him the best wishes of all his colleagues for continued
28prosperity and success in his future endeavors.
29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
30to the Honorable Mickey J. Guillory.
