HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 207

COMMENDATIONS: Commends Nathanael P. Kazmierczak on his academic
achievements
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend Nathanael P. Kazmierczak on his outstanding academic accomplishments.
3 WHEREAS, Nathanael P. Kazmierczak is the son of Richard and Tamra
4Kazmierczak; and
5 WHEREAS, on May 23, 2015, Nathanael graduated from Sequitur Classical
6Academy and from Novus Homeschool Academy, with an unweighted 4.0 grade point
7average from both institutions and first in his class at Sequitur Classical Academy; and
8 WHEREAS, while in high school, Nathanael served as a substitute teacher at
9Sequitur Classical Academy; he taught Algebra 2 and drawing classes during periods of
10teacher absence or illness; and
11 WHEREAS, his senior thesis, "Restoring the Creeds: How Standards of Faith
12Promote Spiritual and Intellectual Growth", was successfully defended, and he received
13honors for the best senior thesis and defense; his thesis has been submitted for publication
14by Mud House Art and Literature; and
15 WHEREAS, Nathanael received a perfect composite score of 36 on the American
16College Test (ACT), a perfect composite score of 2400 on the Scholastic Aptitude Test
17(SAT), and perfect scores of 800 on the SAT Mathematics Level 2 Subject Test and on the
18SAT Literature Subject Test; and
19 WHEREAS, he will attend Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he has
20been offered six separate scholarships, including a National Merit Scholarship, the Howard
21Hughes Medical Institute Scholarship for research, the F.F. Carl Heule, Sr., Scholarship, the

1Llewellyn L. Cayvan String Instrument Scholarship, the Carol Lee Zylstra Memorial Church
2Music Scholarship, and the Coram Deo Award for service potential; and
3 WHEREAS, Nathanael will pursue a double major in chemistry and music; and
4 WHEREAS, in addition to his many academic accomplishments, Nathanael is a
5classical guitarist who enjoys playing for retirement home residents and his youth group at
6the South Baton Rouge Church of Christ, and he is also an avid tennis player; and
7 WHEREAS, Nathanael plans to attend graduate school and hopes to pursue a career
8as a professional research chemist; and
9 WHEREAS, it is appropriate to commend and congratulate Nathanael upon these
10many outstanding accomplishments.
11 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
12Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Nathanael P. Kazmierczak on his academic
13accomplishments and does hereby extend to him best wishes for continued success and
14happiness in his future endeavors.
15 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
16to Nathanael P. Kazmierczak.
