COMMENDATIONS: Commends and expresses appreciation to the Honorable Jeffery
"Jeff" Arnold for his outstanding legislative service and recognizes his contributions
to his district and the state
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend the Honorable Jeffery "Jeff" Arnold and to express enduring gratitude for his
3 outstanding contributions to Orleans Parish and the state of Louisiana, particularly
4 during his tenure as a distinguished member and the dean of the Louisiana House of
5 Representatives.
6 WHEREAS, Jeff Arnold is a notable public servant who has served with excellence
7as a state representative since taking office in 2002, during which time he has fully used
8every opportunity to serve the citizens of his district and the state in an honorable and
9dedicated manner; and
10 WHEREAS, a graduate of Archbishop Shaw High School, Representative Arnold
11received two bachelor of arts degrees from Southeastern Louisiana University in
12management and marketing and finance; and
13 WHEREAS, Representative Arnold has been a proud member of the Democratic
14Caucus, the Louisiana Rural Caucus, and the Orleans Delegation; and

1 WHEREAS, Representative Arnold's diligent committee service has included serving
2as the chairman of the House Committee on Commerce and the House Committee on
3Judiciary, and he has served as a member of the House Committee on Civil Law and
4Procedure, the House Committee of Ways and Means, the House and Governmental Affairs
5Committee, the House Executive Committee, and the Special Committee on Military and
6Veterans Affairs; and
7 WHEREAS, Representative Arnold also served as the dean of the House with great
8pride and honor; and
9 WHEREAS, during his time in the House of Representatives, Representative Arnold
10has worked on and supported many important pieces of legislation; and
11 WHEREAS, as he prepares to embark on the next exciting and productive chapter
12of his life, Representative Arnold merits a sincere measure of commendation for his singular
13contributions and the exemplary strides he has taken as an exceptional member of the
14Louisiana House of Representatives.
15 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
16Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Honorable Jeffery "Jeff" Arnold; does
17hereby extend honor and recognition to him for his outstanding accomplishments,
18particularly during his tenure as a member and the dean of the Louisiana House of
19Representatives, which has been marked by his uncompromising endeavor to improve the
20welfare of his constituents in Orleans Parish and the citizens of the state of Louisiana; and
21does hereby pay tribute to him for the generous and effective way in which he has dedicated
22his intelligence and his energy to the service of his family, friends, community, and state.
23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Louisiana House of Representatives hereby
24expresses enduring gratitude to Representative Arnold for his service to the citizens of
25Louisiana, as evidenced by his superlative achievements as a member of this distinguished
26body, and hereby extends to him the best wishes of all his colleagues for continued
27prosperity and success in his future endeavors.
28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
29to the Honorable Jeffery "Jeff" Arnold.
