COMMENDATIONS: Commends and expresses appreciation to the Honorable Eddie J.
Lambert for his outstanding legislative service and recognizes his contributions to
his district and the state
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend the Honorable Eddie J. Lambert and to express enduring gratitude for his
3 outstanding contributions to Ascension Parish and the state of Louisiana, particularly
4 during his tenure as a distinguished member of the Louisiana House of
5 Representatives.
6 WHEREAS, Eddie Lambert is a notable public servant who has served with
7excellence as a state representative since taking office in 2004, during which time he has
8fully used every opportunity to serve the citizens of his district and the state in an honorable
9and dedicated manner; and
10 WHEREAS, Representative Lambert received a bachelor of science degree and a
11Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University; and

1 WHEREAS, Representative Lambert has been a proud member of the Acadiana
2Delegation, the Capital Region Legislative Delegation, the Louisiana Republican Legislative
3Delegation, and the Louisiana Rural Caucus; and
4 WHEREAS, Representative Lambert's diligent committee service has included
5serving as chairman of the House Appropriations Education Subcommittee and vice
6chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations, and he has served as a member of the
7House Committee on Natural Resources and Environment, the House Committee on Ways
8and Means, the House Committee on Municipal, Parochial and Cultural Affairs, the House
9Committee on Transportation, Highways and Public Works, the House Select Committee
10on Homeland Security, the Joint Legislative Committee on Homeland Security, and the Joint
11Legislative Committee on Capital Outlay; and
12 WHEREAS, during his time in the House of Representatives, Representative
13Lambert has worked on and supported many important pieces of legislation; and
14 WHEREAS, as he prepares to embark on the next exciting and productive chapter
15of his life, Representative Lambert merits a sincere measure of commendation for his
16singular contributions and the exemplary strides he has taken as an exceptional member of
17the Louisiana House of Representatives.
18 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
19Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Honorable Eddie J. Lambert; does
20hereby extend honor and recognition to him for his outstanding accomplishments,
21particularly during his tenure as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, which
22has been marked by his uncompromising endeavor to improve the welfare of his constituents
23in Ascension Parish and the citizens of the state of Louisiana; and does hereby pay tribute
24to him for the generous and effective way in which he has dedicated his intelligence and his
25energy to the service of his family, friends, community, and state.
26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Louisiana House of Representatives hereby
27expresses enduring gratitude to Representative Lambert for his service to the citizens of
28Louisiana, as evidenced by his superlative achievements as a member of this distinguished
29body, and hereby extends to him the best wishes of all his colleagues for continued
30prosperity and success in his future endeavors.

1 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
2to the Honorable Eddie J. Lambert.
