A RESOLUTION
To commend the Honorable Eddie J. Lambert and to express enduring gratitude for his
outstanding contributions to Ascension Parish and the state of Louisiana, particularly
during his tenure as a distinguished member of the Louisiana House of
Representatives.
WHEREAS, Eddie Lambert is a notable public servant who has served with
excellence as a state representative since taking office in 2004, during which time he has
fully used every opportunity to serve the citizens of his district and the state in an honorable
and dedicated manner; and
WHEREAS, Representative Lambert received a bachelor of science degree and a
Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University; and
WHEREAS, Representative Lambert has been a proud member of the Acadiana
Delegation, the Capital Region Legislative Delegation, the Louisiana Republican Legislative
Delegation, and the Louisiana Rural Caucus; and
WHEREAS, Representative Lambert's diligent committee service has included
serving as chairman of the House Appropriations Education Subcommittee and vice
chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations, and he has served as a member of the

House Committee on Natural Resources and Environment, the House Committee on Ways
and Means, the House Committee on Municipal, Parochial and Cultural Affairs, the House
Committee on Transportation, Highways and Public Works, the House Select Committee
on Homeland Security, the Joint Legislative Committee on Homeland Security, and the Joint
Legislative Committee on Capital Outlay; and
WHEREAS, during his time in the House of Representatives, Representative
Lambert has worked on and supported many important pieces of legislation; and
WHEREAS, as he prepares to embark on the next exciting and productive chapter
of his life, Representative Lambert merits a sincere measure of commendation for his
singular contributions and the exemplary strides he has taken as an exceptional member of
the Louisiana House of Representatives.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Honorable Eddie J. Lambert; does
hereby extend honor and recognition to him for his outstanding accomplishments,
particularly during his tenure as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, which
has been marked by his uncompromising endeavor to improve the welfare of his constituents
in Ascension Parish and the citizens of the state of Louisiana; and does hereby pay tribute
to him for the generous and effective way in which he has dedicated his intelligence and his
energy to the service of his family, friends, community, and state.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Louisiana House of Representatives hereby
expresses enduring gratitude to Representative Lambert for his service to the citizens of
Louisiana, as evidenced by his superlative achievements as a member of this distinguished
body, and hereby extends to him the best wishes of all his colleagues for continued
prosperity and success in his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to the Honorable Eddie J. Lambert.
