COMMENDATIONS: Commends Grady Gaubert on his election as chairman of the
Petroleum Marketers Association of America
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend and congratulate Grady Gaubert of Thibodaux on his election as chairman of
3 the Petroleum Marketers Association of America for 2015.
4 WHEREAS, the House of Representatives is pleased to learn that Grady Gaubert of
5Thibodaux has been elected chairman of the Petroleum Marketers Association of America
6for 2015; and
7 WHEREAS, Mr. Gaubert holds the distinction of being the first Louisiana petroleum
8marketer to be elected chairman of the Petroleum Marketers Association of America, and
9his business pedigree proves his worth for this honor: he is a third-generation oil marketer
10and president of Gaubert Oil, founded by his grandfather eighty-nine years ago; and
11 WHEREAS, Mr. Gaubert is an active member in the petroleum marketing industry,
12a past president of the Louisiana Oil Marketers and Convenience Store Association, and
13continues to serve on the association's board of directors; and
14 WHEREAS, Mr. Gaubert was a member of the board of directors of the Texaco
15National Distributor Advisory Council, the Equilon National Distributor Advisory Council,
16the Shell National Distributor Advisory Council, and the Chevron National Distributor
17Advisory Council; he served three years as chairman of the Louisiana Underground Storage
18Tank Trust Fund Advisory Board; and
19 WHEREAS, Mr. Gaubert is a member of the National Federation of Independent
20Businesses, the National Association of Convenience Stores, the Council for a Better
21Louisiana, and the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry; and

1 WHEREAS, in addition to his industry involvement, Mr. Gaubert supports his local
2business community, having served on the boards of the Chamber of Lafourche and the
3Bayou Region, Bayou Industrial Group, the Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce, and
4Southeastern Oil Jobbers Co-Op; and
5 WHEREAS, it is appropriate to congratulate Grady Gaubert on his many
6achievements and to commend him on his election as chairman of the Petroleum Marketers
7Association of America.
8 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
9Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend and congratulate Grady Gaubert of
10Thibodaux on his election as chairman of the Petroleum Marketers Association of America
11for 2015 and does hereby extend best wishes for prosperity and success for the association
12under his leadership.
13 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
14Grady Gaubert.
