COMMENDAT IONS: Commends Patricia Jones for her years of service with the Allen
Parish Council on Aging
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend Patricia Jones for her contributions to the state of Louisiana and her years of
3 service with the Allen Parish Council on Aging.
4 WHEREAS, it is appropriate to commend Patricia Jones, executive director of the
5Allen Parish Council on Aging, Incorporated; and
6 WHEREAS, she is eighty-five years old and a resident of Oakdale, Louisiana, in
7Allen Parish; Ms. Jones was married to the late E. Holman Jones, former member of the
8Louisiana House of Representatives; and
9 WHEREAS, she is the loving mother of five children and the proud grandmother of
10eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, who all bring extreme joy to her life; and
11 WHEREAS, Patricia Jones began working with the Allen Parish Council on Aging,
12Incorporated, in January of 2000; and
13 WHEREAS, prior to her work with the Allen Parish Council on Aging, Incorporated,
14Ms. Jones had previous experience with another council on aging network; and
15 WHEREAS, for fifteen years, Ms. Jones has dedicated her time and efforts to the
16people of Allen Parish and the state of Louisiana through the Allen Parish Council on Aging,
17Incorporated; and
18 WHEREAS, Ms. Jones is truly a dynamic woman who deserves recognition for her
19outstanding services with the Allen Parish Council on Aging, Incorporated, and for the
20immense amount of joy and pride she brings to all who know and love her.

1 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
2Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Patricia Jones, executive director of the
3Allen Parish Council on Aging, Incorporated; does hereby extend to her full measures of
4success and happiness in the years to come; and does hereby record for posterity the pride
5and honor she brings to her family, friends, community, and the state of Louisiana.
6 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
7to Patricia Jones, executive director of the Allen Parish Council on Aging, Incorporated.
