HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 68

A RESOLUTION
To commend Patricia Jones for her contributions to the state of Louisiana and her years of
service with the Allen Parish Council on Aging.
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to commend Patricia Jones, executive director of the
Allen Parish Council on Aging, Incorporated; and
WHEREAS, she is eighty-five years old and a resident of Oakdale, Louisiana, in
Allen Parish; Ms. Jones was married to the late E. Holman Jones, former member of the
Louisiana House of Representatives; and
WHEREAS, she is the loving mother of five children and the proud grandmother of
eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, who all bring extreme joy to her life; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Jones began working with the Allen Parish Council on Aging,
Incorporated, in January of 2000; and
WHEREAS, prior to her work with the Allen Parish Council on Aging, Incorporated,
Ms. Jones had previous experience with another council on aging network; and
WHEREAS, for fifteen years, Ms. Jones has dedicated her time and efforts to the
people of Allen Parish and the state of Louisiana through the Allen Parish Council on Aging,
Incorporated; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Jones is truly a dynamic woman who deserves recognition for her
outstanding services with the Allen Parish Council on Aging, Incorporated, and for the
immense amount of joy and pride she brings to all who know and love her.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Patricia Jones, executive director of the
Allen Parish Council on Aging, Incorporated; does hereby extend to her full measures of
success and happiness in the years to come; and does hereby record for posterity the pride
and honor she brings to her family, friends, community, and the state of Louisiana.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to Patricia Jones, executive director of the Allen Parish Council on Aging, Incorporated.
