ENROLLED 2015 Regular Session HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 70 BY REPRESENTATIVES SEABAUGH AND HENRY BURNS A RESOLUTION To commend Ronnie "Ron" Lee Adams upon his many accomplishments throughout a well- lived life. WHEREAS, Ronnie "Ron" L. Adams is a notable Louisiana citizen who deserves recognition for his extraordinary contributions to his community, the state of Louisiana, and the United States of America; and WHEREAS, Ron Adams was born on August 3, 1940; heeding the call of his country, Mr. Adams joined the United States Army in February of 1959, and he honorably served his country in Vietnam; and WHEREAS, he is a founding member of the European United States Army Warrant Officer Association and served as secretary of the association in 1974; in 1975, Mr. Adams served as a board member for the National Warrant Officer Association Board of Directors; and WHEREAS, he served in the United States Army with great courage and valor as evidenced by his receipt of numerous awards and medals, including the Legion Merit Award, two Bronze Stars, the Meritorious Service Medal, four Army Commendation Medals, the Good Conduct Award, the Armed Service Expedition Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with eight service stars, the Vietnam Honor Medal, the General Officer Aid, two Overseas Service bars, and the National Defense Service Medal; and WHEREAS, he graduated from the United States Army Warrant Officer Senior College in Fort Rucker, Alabama, and in 1980, he retired from the United States Army as Chief Warrant Officer Four; and WHEREAS, in addition to his commitment to his country, Ron Adams is an active member in his community; and Page 1 of 2 HR NO. 70 ENROLLED WHEREAS, he served as president of the Shreveport Bossier Apartment Association, president of the Optimist Club, and president of the Southwest Shreveport Rotary Club; and WHEREAS, he also served on the District Four Drainage Board, the State Republican Central Committee, and from 1994 until 1998, on the Caddo Parish School Board; he is also the founder of the Caddo Career & Technology Center Scholarship Foundation; and WHEREAS, Mr. Adams is a devoted member of Summer Grove Baptist Church, where he has served as deacon and as chairman of the deacons; and WHEREAS, Mr. Adams also finds joy in playing golf and spending time with his family; and WHEREAS, it is appropriate that a special measure of commendation be extended to Ronnie "Ron" L. Adams as his extraordinary accomplishments throughout his seventy- four years of life are recognized. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Ronnie "Ron" L. Adams and does hereby record for posterity the pride and honor that he brings to his family, friends, community, the state of Louisiana, and the United States.
