COMMENDATIONS: Commends Kenny Hilliard on being drafted into the NFL by the
Houston Texans
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend Kenny Hilliard upon his draft into the National Football League by the
3 Houston Texans.
4 WHEREAS, a native of Patterson, Louisiana, located in St. Mary Parish, Kenny
5Hilliard played football for Patterson High School, and later played for Louisiana State
6University as a running back; and
7 WHEREAS, Mr. Hilliard was drafted by the Houston Texans in the seventh round
8as the 235th selection; and
9 WHEREAS, his selection by the Houston Texans marks the second year in which the
10Texans drafted an LSU running back, and he is the sixth drafted running back that position
11coach Frank Wilson has coached at LSU since 2010; and
12 WHEREAS, Kenny Hilliard's exceptional and successful career as a running back
13and his selection by the Houston Texans into the National Football League brings great pride
14to the city of Patterson, the parish of St. Mary, and the state of Louisiana.
15 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
16Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend and congratulate Kenny Hilliard upon his
17draft into the National Football League by the Houston Texans and does hereby wish him
18full measures of continued success in the future.
19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
20to Kenny Hilliard.
