HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 76

A RESOLUTION
To commend Kenny Hilliard upon his draft into the National Football League by the
Houston Texans.
WHEREAS, a native of Patterson, Louisiana, located in St. Mary Parish, Kenny
Hilliard played football for Patterson High School, and later played for Louisiana State
University as a running back; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Hilliard was drafted by the Houston Texans in the seventh round
as the 235th selection; and
WHEREAS, his selection by the Houston Texans marks the second year in which the
Texans drafted an LSU running back, and he is the sixth drafted running back that position
coach Frank Wilson has coached at LSU since 2010; and
WHEREAS, Kenny Hilliard's exceptional and successful career as a running back
and his selection by the Houston Texans into the National Football League brings great pride
to the city of Patterson, the parish of St. Mary, and the state of Louisiana.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend and congratulate Kenny Hilliard upon his
draft into the National Football League by the Houston Texans and does hereby wish him
full measures of continued success in the future.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to Kenny Hilliard.
