CONDOLENCES: Expresses condolences upon the death of Richard Hall, chief training
officer for the Monroe Fire Department
1 A RESOLUTION
2To express the condolences of the House of Representatives upon the death of Chief
3 Training Officer Richard Hall of the Monroe Fire Department.
4 WHEREAS, the illustrious thirty-three year career of Richard Hall, Monroe Fire
5Department's chief training officer, was brought to an abrupt end in a tragic automobile
6accident on Sunday, May 10, 2015; and
7 WHEREAS, Richard Hall served the city of Monroe and the Monroe Fire
8Department in an exemplary way; and
9 WHEREAS, the long-term service of Richard Hall was highlighted by his
10tremendous firefighting skills and his acumen in training others, a position he held for nine
11years; and
12 WHEREAS, Chief Training Officer Hall led a top-rated airport fire protection
13program in Monroe, which received an outstanding rating under his guidance; and
14 WHEREAS, while the members of the Monroe Fire Department, the office of
15Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo, and the city of Monroe feel a deep sense of loss at the passing
16of Richard Hall, the memories of his contributions to the community will forever remain in
17the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved him.
18 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
19Legislature of Louisiana does hereby extend heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends
20of Monroe Fire Department Chief Training Officer Richard Hall as they mourn his death and
21does hereby offer prayers for comfort and peace.

1 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
2to the family of Richard Hall.
