ENROLLED 2015 Regular Session HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 82 BY REPRESENTATIVE HUNTER A RESOLUTION To express the condolences of the House of Representatives upon the death of Chief Training Officer Richard Hall of the Monroe Fire Department. WHEREAS, the illustrious thirty-three year career of Richard Hall, Monroe Fire Department's chief training officer, was brought to an abrupt end in a tragic automobile accident on Sunday, May 10, 2015; and WHEREAS, Richard Hall served the city of Monroe and the Monroe Fire Department in an exemplary way; and WHEREAS, the long-term service of Richard Hall was highlighted by his tremendous firefighting skills and his acumen in training others, a position he held for nine years; and WHEREAS, Chief Training Officer Hall led a top-rated airport fire protection program in Monroe, which received an outstanding rating under his guidance; and WHEREAS, while the members of the Monroe Fire Department, the office of Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo, and the city of Monroe feel a deep sense of loss at the passing of Richard Hall, the memories of his contributions to the community will forever remain in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved him. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby extend heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends of Monroe Fire Department Chief Training Officer Richard Hall as they mourn his death and does hereby offer prayers for comfort and peace.
