COMMENDATIONS: Commends Zakiyah Rucker on being named Morehouse Junior
High School Student of the Year
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend Zakiyah Rucker upon being named Morehouse Junior High School Student of
3 the Year.
4 WHEREAS, it is appropriate to commend Zakiyah Rucker for her outstanding
5achievements and dedicated service to her community and school; and
6 WHEREAS, Zakiyah's dedication to academic achievement and drive to do her best
7at all times are evident in her school work; and
8 WHEREAS, Zakiyah was born on July 25, 2001, in Shreveport, Louisiana; as a
9resident of Bastrop, Louisiana, she enjoys playing games, reading, and spending time with
10her family; and
11 WHEREAS, Zakiyah has a passion for helping others and hopes to become a
12pediatrician when she gets older; and
13 WHEREAS, Zakiyah Rucker is a talented Louisiana student who demonstrates
14leadership and a commitment to excellence, and it is appropriate to commend her upon being
15named Morehouse Junior High School Student of the Year.
16 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
17Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Zakiyah Rucker upon being named
18Morehouse Junior High School Student of the Year; does hereby wish her full measures of
19success and happiness in her years to come; and does hereby recognize and record for
20posterity the pride and honor she brings to her family, school, community, and the state of
21Louisiana.
