HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 84

A RESOLUTION
To commend Zakiyah Rucker upon being named Morehouse Junior High School Student of
the Year.
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to commend Zakiyah Rucker for her outstanding
achievements and dedicated service to her community and school; and
WHEREAS, Zakiyah's dedication to academic achievement and drive to do her best
at all times are evident in her school work; and
WHEREAS, Zakiyah was born on July 25, 2001, in Shreveport, Louisiana; as a
resident of Bastrop, Louisiana, she enjoys playing games, reading, and spending time with
her family; and
WHEREAS, Zakiyah has a passion for helping others and hopes to become a
pediatrician when she gets older; and
WHEREAS, Zakiyah Rucker is a talented Louisiana student who demonstrates
leadership and a commitment to excellence, and it is appropriate to commend her upon being
named Morehouse Junior High School Student of the Year.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Zakiyah Rucker upon being named
Morehouse Junior High School Student of the Year; does hereby wish her full measures of
success and happiness in her years to come; and does hereby recognize and record for
posterity the pride and honor she brings to her family, school, community, and the state of
Louisiana.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
