DIGEST SB 129 Reengrossed 2015 Regular Session Nevers Proposed law authorizes the school board of a city, parish, or other local public system with one or more low-performing schools to enter into an agreement with the school board of a higher- performing public school system for the management and day-to-day operation of any or all of such schools, provided the higher-performing school system received a letter grade of "C" or higher for the previous two years. Proposed law provides that the school board of each respective school system shall mutually develop the terms and scope of the management agreement, which shall be subject to the approval of a majority of the members of each school board. Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action. (Adds R.S. 17:105.2) Summary of Amendments Adopted by Senate Senate Floor Amendments to engrossed bill 1.
