PORTS/HARBORS/TERMINALS. Provides for a per diem for members of the Board of
Commissioners of the West Calcasieu Port. (8/1/15)
1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 34:2102(B), relative to the compensation of members of the
3 board of the commissioners of the West Calcasieu Port; to provide for a maximum
4 per diem for attending meetings by members; and to provide for related matters.
5 Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. R.S. 34:2102(B) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
8 ยง2102. Officers of the commission; meetings; per diem

10 B. The governing authority of the West Calcasieu Port may pay and its
11 members may receive a per diem, not to exceed one hundred dollars, for each day
12 the member is in attendance at a regular or special meeting of the board of
13 commissioners, not to exceed two meetings per month three hundred dollars, for
14 each day the member is in attendance at a regular meeting and a per diem not
15 to exceed two hundred dollars, for each day the member is in attendance at a
16 special meeting, of the board of commissioners, not to exceed two meetings per
17 month.

Present law provides that the governing authority of the West Calcasieu Port may pay and
its members may receive a per diem, not to exceed $100, for each day the member is in
attendance at a regular or special meeting of the board of commissioners, not to exceed two
meetings per month.
Proposed law provides that governing authority of the West Calcasieu Port may pay and its
members may receive a per diem, not to exceed $300, for each day the member is in
attendance at a regular meeting and a per diem not to exceed $200, for each day the member
is in attendance at a special meeting, of the board of commissioners, not to exceed two
meetings per month.
Effective August 1, 2015.
