ETHICS.  Removes financial disclosure requirements for members of boards and
commissions that do not earn compensation or per diem. (8/1/15)
1	AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact the introductory paragraph of R.S. 42:1124.2.1(A), relative to
3 financial disclosure requirements of members of boards and commissions; to provide
4 an exception for members not receiving compensation or per diem; and to provide
5 for related matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. The introductory paragraph of R.S. 42:1124.2.1(A) is hereby amended and
8 reenacted to read as follows:
9 ยง1124.2.1. Financial disclosure; members of boards and commissions
10	A. Each of the following, except a person who is required to file a financial
11 statement pursuant to R.S. 42:1124 or 1124.2 or persons not receiving, or eligible
12 to receive, compensation or per diem, and serving as a member of a board or
13 commission that has an expenditure authority of less than fifty thousand
14 dollars, shall annually file a financial statement as provided in this Section:

Present law requires members of boards and commissions to annually file a financial
disclosure statement to the Board of Ethics.
Proposed law exempts members of boards and commissions who do not receive or are
eligible to receive compensation or per diem from the financial disclosure filing requirement.
Proposed law exempts members of boards and commissions with expenditure authority of
less than $50,000 that do not receive or are eligible to receive compensation from the
financial disclosure filing requirement.
Effective August 1, 2015.
