[R.S. 1:13(B) and 24:177(E)] SB 87 Reengrossed 2015 Regular Session Perry Present law (R.S. 42:1124.2.1) requires certain board and commission members to file a financial disclosure statement with the Board of Ethics of each year during which the person holds public office or position and year following the termination of the holding of such office which statement shall include the information for the entire preceding calendar year, except as specifically excepted. Proposed law provides that for purposes of present law filing requirements, the term "board and commission" shall not mean any board or commission that does not have the authority to expend, disburse, or invest more than $50,000 of funds in a fiscal year and whose members are not eligible to receive any compensation, per diem, or reimbursement of expenses for service on the board or commission.
