SENATE CONCURRENT RESOL UTION NO. 117

INTERGOVERN RELATIONS. Extends the Louisiana Balance of Powers Study
Commission which was created pursuant to SCR No. 113 of the 2013 Regular Session.
1 A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION
2 To extend the Louisiana Balance of Powers Study Commission which was created pursuant
3 to SCR No. 113 of the 2013 Regular Session.
4 WHEREAS, the Legislature of Louisiana created the Louisiana Balance of Powers
5 Study Commission pursuant to SCR No. 113 of the 2013 Regular Session; and
6 WHEREAS, the legislature finds that the commission needs additional time to
7 complete these studies before it can develop final recommendations regarding the study and
8 report the information required by the original Resolution.
9 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
10 extend the Louisiana Balance of Powers Study Commission which was created pursuant to
11 SCR No. 113 of the 2013 Regular Session.
12 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the commission shall report to the legislature
13 no later than sixty days prior to the 2016 Regular Session.
