Expresses condolences upon the death of Deborah Lechtenberg Warshaw. 1 A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION 2 To express the sincere condolences of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the death of 3 Deborah Lechtenberg Warshaw. 4 WHEREAS, it is with deep regret and profound sorrow that the Legislature of 5 Louisiana learned of the death of Deborah Lechtenberg Warshaw on December 12, 2014, 6 at the age of fifty-five; and 7 WHEREAS, she was born on December 27, 1958, in Lake Charles to Wendel and 8 Therese Lechtenberg; and 9 WHEREAS, Debbie spent the majority of her life in Lake Charles, graduated from 10 McNeese State University in 1980, and worked as a computer programmer for several 11 industries in the area; and 12 WHEREAS, she married James Warshaw in 1986, and after the birth of their first 13 child, she became a stay-at-home mom raising three children, and as the cornerstone of her 14 family, she became actively involved in the lives, faith, and education of her children; and 15 WHEREAS, Debbie journeyed with Christ as she battled cancer for three years while 16 at the same time inspiring others with her faith, strength, and courage; and 17 WHEREAS, throughout her life, she touched countless lives with her strong trust in 18 God, her caring and compassionate nature, and her love of life; and Page 1 of 2 SCR NO. 24 SLS 15RS-66 ORIGINAL 1 WHEREAS, Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Wendel and Therese 2 Lechtenberg; and 3 WHEREAS, she is survived by her husband, James "Jamie" Warshaw; three children, 4 Christopher Warshaw, Jennifer Dees, and Michael Warshaw; one grandchild, Hunter Dees; 5 her siblings, Wejee Lechtenberg, Cathy Reon, Paul Lechtenberg, and Pat Lechtenberg; and 6 numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and 7 WHEREAS, with the death of Deborah Lechtenberg Warshaw, Louisiana has lost 8 one of its finest citizens who was admired by all whose lives she touched and is greatly 9 missed; and 10 WHEREAS, although the death of Deborah Lechtenberg Warshaw has left a 11 tremendous void in her community, her memory shall live on forever in the minds and hearts 12 of all who knew and loved her and who remember her outgoing personality and beautiful 13 smile. 14 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby 15 express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of Deborah Lechtenberg Warshaw 16 and does hereby extend enduring appreciation for the pride and honor that this wonderful 17 lady will forever bring to her family, friends, community, and state. 18 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the 19 family of Deborah Lechtenberg Warshaw.
