SENATE CONCURRENT RESOL UTION NO. 36
BY SENATORS THOMPSON, KOSTELKA, RISER AND WALSWORTH AND
REPRESENTATIVES ANDERS, BROWN, CHANEY, FANNIN,
HOFFMANN, HUNTER, JACKSON, JEFFERSON, JAY MORRIS,
PYLANT AND SHADOIN
COMMENDATIONS. Commends Anderson "Andy" W. Barham for being named one of
the top ten 2014 pilots for Pilots for Patients.
1 A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION
2 To commend Anderson "Andy" W. Barham for being named one of the top ten 2014 pilots
3 for Pilots for Patients.
4 WHEREAS, Pilots for Patients, based in Monroe, Louisiana, organizes pilots who
5 are willing to volunteer their time and money to fly patients needing to receive medical care;
6 and
7 WHEREAS, since its inception in 2007, and with a listing of one hundred five
8 volunteer pilots, Pilots for Patients has flown more than twenty-two hundred flights, free of
9 charge for each patient; and
10 WHEREAS, Anderson "Andy" W. Barham, a veteran of the United States Army, has
11 been a pilot for Pilots for Patients since 2008, flying one hundred and seventy missions; and
12 WHEREAS, Mr. Barham is president of Barham, Inc. and West, Inc. both established
13 in 1956, and president of Oak Ridge Agriculture Corporation since 2006; and
14 WHEREAS, Mr. Barham is mayor of the village of Oak Ridge since 2001, and board
15 member of Staplcotn since 1985, and board member of the Bank of Oak Ridge since 2006;
16 and
17 WHEREAS, along with being active in his community, Mr. Barham has also flown
18 numerous missions for Angel Flight, a group of volunteer pilots providing routine treatment

1 flights, compassionate care, and other medical related flights to patients.
2 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
3 commend Anderson "Andy" W. Barham for his volunteer efforts and being named one of
4 the top ten 2014 pilots for Pilots for Patients.
5 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Mr.
6 Anderson "Andy" W. Barham.
