SENATE CONCURRENT RESOL UTION NO. 96

CONDOLENCES. Expresses condolences on the death of Charlie "Pappy" Hillebrandt.
1 A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION
2 To express the sincere condolences of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the death of Charlie
3 "Pappy" Hillebrandt.
4 WHEREAS, it is with deep regret and profound sorrow that the citizens of Louisiana
5 learned of the death of Charlie "Pappy" Hillebrandt on May 6, 2015, at the age of fifty-eight;
6 and
7 WHEREAS, Charlie "Pappy" Hillebrandt was a native of Bridge City, Texas, and a
8 resident of Carlyss, Louisiana, for the past thirty-three years; and
9 WHEREAS, he was a member and president of the Carlyss Perch Club and employed
10 as a senior account manager with Appleton Group; and
11 WHEREAS, Pappy is survived by his loving wife of thirty-five and one-half years,
12 Chrsti "Gammy" Hall Hillebrandt; his children, Carli Dyan Hillebrandt Fuselier and Dr. Cole
13 Daniel Hillebrandt; his parents, V. J. and Melba Boudreaux; his siblings, Dana Boudreaux,
14 Gay Moncla, and Johnny Boudreaux; three grandchildren, Reece Dylan "Reecer" Fuselier,
15 Gavin Luke "Gavo" Fuselier, and Ryan Olivia "Tooty" Fuselier, as well as numerous nieces
16 and nephews; and
17 WHEREAS, in his spare time, he enjoyed scuba diving, fishing, telling stories,
18 listening to music, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren; and

1 WHEREAS, with the death of Charlie "Pappy Hillebrandt, Louisiana has lost one of
2 its finest citizens who was admired by all whose lives he touched and is greatly missed; and
3 WHEREAS, his passing has left a tremendous void in the Carlyss community, but
4 his love, smile, and personality shall remain eternal in the hearts and minds of his loved
5 ones, friends, and all who had the opportunity to meet and know him.
6 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
7 express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of Charlie "Pappy" Hillebrandt, and
8 does hereby extend enduring appreciation for the pride and honor that this wonderful
9 gentleman brought to his family, friends, community, and state.
10 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
11 family of Charlie "Pappy" Hillebrandt.
