SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 117

CONDOLENCES.  Expresses condolences upon the death of Wayne William Foley.
1	A RESOLUTION
2 To express the sincere condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the
3 death of Wayne William Foley.
4 WHEREAS, Wayne William Foley, a lifelong resident of New Orleans, Louisiana,
5 died peacefully in his home on Saturday, May 9, 2015; and
6 WHEREAS, Wayne William Foley was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on
7 November 19, 1947, to the union of Edward Maxwell Foley and Marguerite Johnstone
8 Foley, both of whom preceded him in death; and 
9 WHEREAS, Wayne William Foley leaves to cherish memories of him, his wife,
10 Angela, daughter, Jennifer Foley Scaljon and her husband Michael, two grandchildren, Anna
11 Grace and William Michael Scaljon III, twin brother, Daniel S. Foley, younger brother,
12 Father Augustine Foley O.S.B., two sisters, Fabienne F. Cazale' and Glynis F. Davis and her
13 husband, Charles; and 
14 WHEREAS, he is also survived by nephews and nieces, John B. Cazale' V, Erin F.
15 Schuhmacher and her husband Collin, Kevin M. Cazale' and his wife Lindsey, Elizabeth F.
16 Bucher and her husband Michael, Lauren M. Davis, Kelly N. Davis, Daniel S. Foley II,
17 Michael A. Foley; and
18 WHEREAS, he is also survived by great-nephews and nieces, Blaize, Riley, Mary

1 Keating, Alex and Lillian; and
2 WHEREAS, Wayne William Foley attended St. Aloysious High School and
3 Louisiana State University in New Orleans; and 
4 WHEREAS,  he received his Juris Doctor degree from Louisiana State University
5 School of Law in 1974 and retired from the law firm of Baker, Boudreaux, Lamy, and Foley
6 in December 2012; and
7 WHEREAS, Wayne William Foley, because of his numerous accomplishments, will
8 be forever remembered by the people whose paths he crossed for his integrity, dignity,
9 courage, and the joy he left in the hearts of all who knew him.
10 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
11 respectfully acknowledges with gratitude the outstanding service and many accomplishments
12 of Wayne William Foley and does hereby express the sincere condolences to his family on
13 the occasion of his death.
14 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
15 family of Wayne William Foley.
