SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 152

A RESOLUTION
To re-create the Lower Pearl River Basin Ecosystem Study Commission which was created
pursuant to Senate Resolution No. 159 of the 2014 Regular Session of the
Legislature.
WHEREAS, the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana created the Lower Pearl River
Basin Ecosystem Study Commission pursuant to Senate Resolution No. 159 of the 2014
Regular Session of the Legislature (SR No. 159); and
WHEREAS, the Senate finds that the commission needs additional time to complete
these studies before it can develop final recommendations regarding the study and report the
information required by SR No. 159.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby re-create the Lower Pearl River Basin Ecosystem Study Commission which was
created pursuant to SR No. 159.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the commission shall be re-created with the
same membership, duties, powers, and limitation on compensation as stated in SR No. 159.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the commission shall report to the legislature
no later than sixty days prior to the convening of the 2016 Regular Session of the Louisiana
Legislature.
